Residents, visitors and businesses are being asked to share their views on Newry city centre as part of a public perception survey linked to upcoming regeneration projects in the city.
The survey is being carried out by County Down Rural Community Network on behalf of Newry, Mourne and Down District Council.
With several major projects planned including Newry City Park and the new Theatre at Newry Town Hall, those behind the survey say they want to understand how people currently feel about Newry city centre and the developments under way.
The Survey explains "Newry City Centre is currently experiencing a period of regeneration and investment, with several major projects planned or underway. This includes the development of a new Theatre and Conference Centre, which will restore the historic Town Hall and Sean Hollywood Arts Centre to create a modern venue for cultural events, conferences, and community activities. Paving, seating and lighting along Bank Parade, together with a new riverside performance space to the rear of the new venue, will help regenerate the Sugar Island area.
"Alongside this, a number of wider regeneration and public realm improvements are taking place across the city centre to enhance Newry's role as a regional destination, increase footfall, support the night-time economy, and improve the overall experience for residents, businesses and visitors."
The survey will take around two minutes to complete and is open to anyone who lives, works or spends time in the city centre. Those wishing to take part are being encouraged to give their honest feedback on how they perceive Newry city centre as it stands today.
