Write a commentWork to implement the Daisy Hill Pathfinder Group's investment roadmap continues to get underway with the Out of Hours Department at Daisy Hill Hospital in Newry moving later this year and a Direct Assessment Unit opening in the main hospital building in December.
It begins this month with the movement of non-clinical staff from the existing Nurses Home at the hospital to refurbished Doctors Accommodation.
It's then planned that in September the GP Out of Hours and General Outpatients Department will move from the main hospital building to the Nurses Home with a Direct Assessment Unit opening in the main hospital building in December.
It follows the announcement in June of an opening investment package of £1.65M from the Department of Health.
