Derrybeg Play Park officially opens following upgrade works

The upgraded Derrybeg Play Park has been officially opened as part of the council's Play Park Strategy, with local families and children enjoying the new facilities.

Newry City Councillor Aidan Mathers, who attended the opening alongside Councillor Geraldine Kearns, welcomed the completion of the upgraded Play Park and spoke of how fantastic it was to see local families and children coming together and enjoying the new facilities.

Cllr Mathers added that the investment was about providing a safe and inclusive space for the local community. "This investment is about giving local families a safe, inclusive space where children can play, socialise and grow. It's already clear the positive impact it is having," he said.
