Newry Cancer Research Committee has teamed up with Wild Geese Sky Diving Centre in Derry to help raise vital funds to help combat cancer.
This is a new avenue of fundraising that the committee want to explore. Anyone can participate, so we are calling on the support of the people from the greater Newry & Mourne area to get involved. It’s a great experience as well as a challenging way to raise funds. The sky dive will take place on Sunday 11th September with transport provided to and from the venue. The cost of the jump is £250, however if you pledge to raise the minimum amount and more the jump can be recovered from the sponsorship money, which means you can skydive for FREE!
Employees at McKeevers Chemist, Mr Michael Mullen and Mr Gary McParland are the first to sign up to complete the tandem jump. The proceeds raised by Michael and Gary, along with staff and customers at McKeevers Chemists, will help kick start our fundraising campaign and help improve the lives of Cancer sufferers within Northern Ireland. Chairman of the Newry Cancer Research Committee Mr Gervase McCartan presented t-shirts to Gary and Michael, along with committee members Noreen and Mary to be worn on the day and wished them the best of luck.
So the question is? Do you have the guts to the take the plunge? If so get your family, friends and work colleagues to help you along the way.
