As part of Newry Rainbow Community's commitment to forging closer links with their sister LGB&T group in Dundalk, the NRC and Dundalk Outcomers entered a joint float in this years Dublin Pride Parade in June and as a result came home with an award for the Best Float in the Parade.
Complete with Samba Drummers and Dancers from the Outcomers Youth group lots of colorful displays and our very own Miss Trisha Delisha who caught the eye of the Paparazzi it's colour, variety and vibrancy would most certainly have caught the eye of the judges.
Dublin Pride with around 26,000 people taking part this year is Ireland's largest Pride Parade so for two small border groups to take the top award on their first joint project is no mean achievement!
Congratulations to all who made it happen.
