Clanrye Group have recently been successful in securing funding from the National Lottery Dormant Accounts Fund for the development of a Learner Management System (LMS) to enhance their learner's experience.

Clanrye Group are currently working in collaboration with local IT service provider company GemNet to source and implement their new system.

Speaking at the launch of the design phase of LMS Liam Devine CEO of Clanrye Group welcomed the launch saying, “For too long learners completing Entry to Level 2 qualifications have been neglected in relation to resources and digital platforms available to enhance their learning and allow their learning to be a more enjoyable experience. I welcome the collaboration with GemNet who provide excellent ICT support services to local businesses and look forward to seeing the finished Product.”

Richard Gough who will be leading the programme added, “This will allow us to reach further into the community providing improved access to isolated participants in remote areas while improving the quality of delivery with the wide variety of services and courses that Clanrye Group currently offer.”

Enhanced Learning experiences for all

Gerard Mc Veigh – owner of GemNet commented on the system: “We have been given a brief by Clanrye to enhance learners’ experiences as they complete qualifications in the organisation. We look forward to working in partnership building on the expertise and work of tutors and staff at Clanrye Group and are confident that the finished product will make the brief.”

The LMS aims to support a broad range of educational needs using interactive learning, self-directed study, technology enhanced learning methods and portfolio building. It will support Clanrye Group participants in developing their progression opportunities to education and employment through development of their educational and employability profiles. Implementation of this system will not replace the one-to-one support Clanrye Group has always provided to its participants but rather will improve the quality of what they offer and how they provide it.
