Anyone heading in to Jean Crozier's hostelry in Newry this morning for a pint of the 'black stuff' got several pints of the white stuff thrown in for free when a palette of paint fell off the back of a delivery lorry.
Crozier's bar, one of Newry's oldest got a lick of paint it certainly wasn't expecting while anyone out painting the town red had their work set out for them.
To crown it all the vinyl humiliation was that Hughes bookmakers next door had the odds of this happening outside their very own front door set at a massive 1000 to 1 but no one had actually bet on it happening!
The clean up of the paint took quite a while but it did mean opportunistic motorists were able to park in the loading bay whilst avoiding a brush with the zealous Newry traffic wardens as the yellow line was completely unnoticeable!
Definitely not non-drip gloss.
