Information is being sought by police after a ten day old donkey foal has been stolen from a family farm on the Rathfriland Road, Newry. The foal would need to be supported by its mother at such a young age.
Police are investigating the theft of the foal after it disappeared from a yard sometime between 9pm on Monday 18 May and 5pm on Tuesday 19 May.

Sergeant Willis said: “The foal is just 10 days old and needs support from its mother.”“I am urging anyone with any information which may assist with our enquiries to contact police in Newry on 101 quoting reference 2040 of 19/05/20."

Information can also be provided to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111, which is 100% anonymous.
