Newry and Armagh MLA Megan Fearon has congratulated all those who took part in the Cycle Against Suicide in Crossmaglen at the weekend.

"This was a tremendous event with a very worthy message on an issue that affects us all," she said.

"It was a terrific way of highlighting the importance of mental health, removing the stigma of talking about the scourge of suicide and also displaying one of the simplest things you can do when it comes to looking after your mental health; get active.

"I'm delighted to hear that the event was such a success theyr're talking about rolling it out to other parts of the district next year. Well done to all involved."
