High Street in Newry was closed for a short time this afternoon as emergency services dealt with a fire in one of the buildings at the former Poor Clares Convent and St Clares Primary School.
The premises are currently vacant with Planning permission granted for the restoration of the current chapel building which is listed, 75 houses and 13 apartments on the site.
Emergency services were also in attendance 12 July at the same site.
The road has now reopened.
