Forkhill para-athlete Rosie Tennyson has been named joint winner of the Belfast Telegraph Disabled Sportsperson Award at a ceremony in Belfast on Thursday 28 May. She shared the honour with para ice swimmer Nicola Doran.
The award recognises Tennyson's achievements, dedication and contribution to sport, with the Forkhill athlete widely regarded as an inspiration to many through her commitment and determination.
Speaking after receiving the award, Tennyson's said: "I'm absolutely delighted and honoured to receive this award. I want to sincerely thank everyone at Infinity and Ventoux Cycling Studio in Camlough for all their support and encouragement throughout my journey.
"A very special thank you goes to my coach, Milo McCourt, whose dedication, belief, and guidance have helped me every step of the way. I truly couldn't have achieved this without them."
The award marks another significant milestone for the Forkhill athlete and friends, family and the wider community have praised Tennyson's achievement, with many describing her as an inspiration both on and off the sporting stage.
