Outdoor Recreation NI has a fantastic opportunity for community groups and organisations to apply to the Get Outdoors Weekend Transport Scheme Grant! To help encourage local and further afield community group/organisations to take part in this fabulous weekend of free outdoor activities, Outdoor Recreation NI has released a transport grant scheme to aid with travel costs up to £100.

The Ring of Gullion AONB Project will be hosting a number of activities on Saturday 20th September 2014 which community group/ organizations may wish to take part in but can’t afford the transport.
Therese Hamill, Ring of Gullion AONB Officer said, “We are planning an action packed day of activities for Saturday 20th September and are delighted that Outdoor Recreation NI are offering this grant to enable groups to attend. We encourage all groups interested in applying, to get their application forms in by Tuesday 19th August.”
Therese added “Groups can find out more about the grant and what activities are happening on the day on the Ring of Gullion website www.ringofgullion.org”.
Get Outdoors weekend is a FREE weekend of outdoor recreation activities that kicks off Saturday 20th September 2014 - Sunday 21st September 2014 across the whole of Northern Ireland. All events will be open for bookings at the end of August via www.getoutdoorsweekend.com. Please note some activities require pre booking but details of this can also be found online.
If you would like to apply to receive this valuable funding, please download the application form from the Ring of Gullion News Webpage and return to richard@outdoorrecreationni.com. The closing date for applications will be Tuesday 19th August at 5pm. There is a limited pot of funding.
