The family of a man who died unexpectedly in Uist in the Outer Hebrides have expressed their gratitude to the Kevin Bell Repatriation Trust for helping bring his body home and have started a GoFundMe page to raise funds for the Newry charity.
Connor Macinnes from Moneymore passed away 29 August 2024. His family explained how KBRT took the stress away from them.
A family member explained "Only for the Kevin bell Repatriation Trust (KBRT) we had no idea where to begin to get our Connor home. They took care of everything for us and dealt with the correct people in Inverness to take the stress away from us at that time.
"I cannot express how grateful I am to Colin Bell and all the wonderful people who work tirelessly with this charity."
They are hoping to raise money in aid of KBRT to try to give back as much as possible. "Unfortunately, the sad truth is that other families will find themselves in similar situations in the future and we want to ensure that those families can receive the same level of care that we did and enable the KBRT to continue their immeasurable work." the family member added.
