The Balmoral Show returns to the Eikon Exhibition Centre from 13 to 16 May 2026, and Translink is encouraging visitors to make use of public transport options available throughout the event. Rail and bus services will be on offer across all four days, with a number of ticket options and concessions available.
The show, which is one of the north's largest annual events, will feature livestock displays, local food experiences, agricultural showcases and family entertainment throughout the four-day programme. Translink has put a dedicated travel plan in place to help visitors get to and from the showgrounds without the need for a car.
A free shuttle bus service will operate from Lisburn Train Station from 9am each day, taking passengers directly to the showgrounds. The last shuttle departing the showgrounds will be at 19:00 on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, and at 18:00 on Saturday.
Selected Enterprise services between Dublin and Belfast Grand Central Station will also stop at Lisburn, making it straightforward for visitors travelling from further afield, including those coming from Ireland.

Families travelling to the show can use Translink's Family and Friends ticket, priced at £24, which covers unlimited day travel across all Translink services within Northern Ireland for up to two adults and four children. All Goldliner day returns and NI Railways day returns purchased after 9:30am are available with 25% off, while yLink card holders can travel at half price. Those with a 60+ SmartPass or Senior SmartPass are entitled to free travel anywhere in Northern Ireland on any Translink bus or train service.
Contactless payment is accepted across all services. Passengers travelling with prams are asked to fold them where possible, as shuttle buses will have limited space for prams and wheelchairs.
