Write a commentPolice are investigating the cause of a fire at a Hairdressing Salon in Jonesborough.
Mamma Mia Hair and Beauty was destroyed in the blaze in the early hours of Wednesday 18 morning.
It was a cruel blow for the premises having just opened the doors a month earlier on 19 November.
On their Facebook page a representative from the salon says that arson is suspected, adding "It is very difficult to understand how anyone could be so malicious, after our blood, sweat and tears went into making this dream a reality! We would really appreciate if you could share this post and if anyone has any information to please let us know or contact the PSNI Newry and Mourne"
Local Councillor Mickey Larkin along with his colleague Mickey Brady MP visited the scene. “Police are investigating the cause of this fire which has left the owners & staff devastated at the loss of this fully furnished Hairdresser Salon. Fire and Emergency Services attended the scene as quickly as possible and we thank them for their efforts in ensuring the fire didn’t spread. We await the outcome of the ongoing investigations” said Cllr Larkin.
