Newry Variety Market is set to transform into a Halloween haven later this month as the popular Twilight Market returns on Friday 31 October from 5pm to 10pm.
The annual event, hosted by Newry, Mourne and Down District Council, promises thrills, chills and plenty of family-friendly entertainment to kick off the Halloween weekend in style.
Council Chairperson Philip Campbell said the Twilight Market has become a firm favourite in the local events calendar. "It brings people of all ages together to enjoy food, music, crafts and plenty of spooky fun," he said. "I'd encourage families and friends to come along, dress up, and join us for what promises to be another memorable evening."
Kids will be spoilt for choice with spooky carnival games, Halloween arts and crafts, face painting, and a fancy-dress disco complete with spot prizes thanks to BID Newry's support.
The musical line-up is equally impressive, featuring performances from The Unholy Gospel Band, local favourites Those Guys, and a special set of Halloween tunes from Downshire Brass Band.
Hungry visitors can tuck into treats at the Food Village and licensed bar, while the Artisan Market will showcase local produce and handmade crafts. Walkabout characters will add to the eerie atmosphere as the historic market gets a frightful makeover for the occasion.
With something for everyone from family activities to live music and artisan flavours, the Halloween Twilight Market is shaping up to be the place to be on 31 October.
