It's a chance for everyone in Newry to get into the Halloween spirit with the return of the popular Twilight Market, taking place this Friday 31 October from 5pm to 10pm at Newry Variety Market on John Mitchel Place.
The much-loved market will be transformed into a magical Halloween celebration, packed with live entertainment, seasonal food, creative crafts and spooky surprises for the whole family.
The Halloween festivities will kick off at 5pm with a fancy dress kids' disco, where youngsters can show off their most inventive, spooky or funny costumes. There will be prizes for the best dressed, kindly sponsored by Newry BID.
From 6pm, the market will come alive with live music throughout the evening. Those Guys will kick off the night with their high-energy performance, followed by the Downshire Brass Band at 7pm. The soulful Unholy Gospel Band will close out the evening from 8pm to 9.30pm.
The Twilight Market is organised by Newry, Mourne and Down District Council and will showcase a mix of local traders, artists and craftspeople, offering a selection of handmade and bespoke items. From unique art and gifts to seasonal decorations and spooky keepsakes, there will be something for everyone to discover.
Food lovers can enjoy a range of seasonal delights, from warming drinks and snacks to hearty meals. The Phoenix Bar, Newry will also be on site with a fully licensed bar serving a selection of drinks to complement the night's entertainment.
For younger visitors, the market will be bursting with Halloween activities, from arts and crafts to carnival games, face painting and a spooky selfie station for capturing memories. The event promises to be the perfect way for families to celebrate Halloween together in the heart of the city.
