Eleven businesses signed up to the Southern Area Hospice's first ever Accumulator Challenge towards the end of 2015 with each of them having to raise as much as possible from £50,

Sarah McGirr and her colleagues at PwC in Dungannon provided the initial £50 for all the entrants.

The businesses who participated attended a presentation ceremony in the Hospice last week where Majella Gollogly Fundraising Manager at the Hospice thanked all those who participated.

The overall total raised was £10,750, with Greiner Packaging being the outright winner having raised £4,000.  In second place was the Milestone, Rathfriland and in third, Halifax Newry and Lurgan.

Lots of innovative ideas were put into action – students at Wade Training cooked Christmas Dinner for staff and friends; Younique raffled a beautiful hamper, flag days took place, cake sales, raffles and dessert days at work.

The other eight businesses that took part were:  Wade Training, Murdocks Builders Merchants Dungannon, Bank of Ireland, Younique, Amey, CMM Mobile Massage therapies, Sodexho/Saica and David Jameson roofing contractors.
