Evora Hospice has launched its Corporate Gift Appeal for 2025, urging local businesses to step up and support its vital work this festive season as it grapples with ever-rising costs in delivering specialist palliative care across Down, Armagh and Tyrone.

The hospice is now more reliant than ever on support from local companies, with government funding continuing to fall short of what's needed to keep services running. Last year's appeal brought in over £170,000, helping to ensure patients and families received expert care, comfort and compassion when they needed it most.

This year, it will cost approximately £6 million to run the Hospice of that, they must raise £4 million, 65% of their total income, through fundraising alone. That’s the equivalent of £335,000 each month, £77,000 each week, £11,000 every day or £460 every hour.

Liz Cuddy, CEO of Evora Hospice, said: "At Evora Hospice we are reminded every day how much our patients and families need our care and support. Government Funding continues to fall short of what we need, and we are now more reliant on local businesses to support what we do. Your support literally keeps our doors open. Whether you're a business which is family run, or a large employer we really need your help. By making a donation to our corporate appeal, you are helping us do what we do."

By backing the Corporate Gift Appeal, businesses can help ensure every patient receives compassionate care surrounded by love and dignity during the most difficult times.

This Christmas, the hospice is asking companies to give the gift that truly matters by supporting the appeal and helping to keep its doors open for those who need it most.
