The Northern Ireland Housing Executive is introducing a new House Sales System on 30 November replacing the current system, which is no longer fit for purpose. It will be used to process applications from tenants who want to buy their homes under the statutory house sales scheme. Existing applications will be moved over during November, so some customers may experience delays.
Housing Executive customers can continue to contact their local Place Shaping team with any queries about their house sale application while the changeover takes place. Customers are asked to be aware that response times and application processing may take longer than usual while the new system is being put in place.
Ailbhe Hickey, Assistant Director, said: “We are introducing a new House Sales System to ensure we can continue to effectively manage applications from tenants wishing to purchase their homes. While we transfer existing applications and prepare for the launch of the new system on 30 November, there may be some temporary delays in processing applications. We would like to thank customers for their patience and understanding during this period of change. Our teams will continue to support applicants and respond to queries throughout the transition.”
The House Sales System is used by Housing Executive staff to process applications from tenants who wish to buy their Housing Executive property. The replacement will provide a more modern platform to support the efficient management of those applications.
Customers who need information about a current or potential house sale application should contact their local Place Shaping team on 03448 920 900.
