Write a commentA new Irish Language youth club is starting up in Three Ways Community Centre in Newry from this Thursday, 29 September.
Organised by Cumann na bhFiann a nationwide Irish Language youth service there will be clubs for ages 10 - 13 and one for age 13 - 18.
The club will run from 5 - 6.30pm every Thursday.
Activities on offer include games, music, céilí, disco, camping, kayaking, sports, bowling, arts and crafts and more.
Cumann na bhFiann organises Irish language youth clubs as well as regional and national events through the medium of Irish. This gives young people the opportunity the use and improve their spoken Irish outside of the school environment on a social level. The organisation also provides opportunities for young people to meet through the medium of Irish and create networks of Irish speaking friends throughout the country.
