DUP Newry & Armagh election candidate William Irwin is focused on delivery.
Speaking after the launch of the sixty-page DUP Manifesto which sets out the DUP’s 5 point plan for progress, Mr Irwin said he was focused on continuing delivery rather than a distracting and divisive Sinn Fein border poll.
He stated, “It is a privilege to once again stand before the electorate of Newry & Armagh and ask for your first preference vote. As you will have seen over the past 15 years, I have placed you the voter at the heart of my activities as a public representative at Stormont.
Taking your views, queries, cases and requests seriously - along with consistent, principle based lobbying on the issues that matter most, is what I pride myself on. An attitude and ethos of hard work and striving for the right result I know has resonated well with the electorate and I stand again on that same solid platform for 5th May poll.
On polling day, I invite you to vote William Irwin 1 to ease cost of living pressures, deliver more jobs, better health services and a strong place in the Union. This election is a choice between the DUP’s policy plan to ease cost of living pressure, or Sinn Fein’s plan for a divisive border poll which will only cause great division and arguing.
Your vote in Newry and Armagh will decide which plan Stormont adopts. In the last Assembly, with your support, the DUP fought for and delivered more for health services, greater investment in infrastructure, more jobs and better education - all as a strong part in the Union.
Your vote for me will help my colleagues and I implement our five point plan to :- Fix our National Health Service by investing £1 billion more; Grow our economy and create 20,000 jobs over the next five years; Help working families by delivering 30 hours free childcare per week and tackling the cost of living; Keep our schools world class and importantly work to remove the Irish Sea border.
Mr Irwin concluded, Let’s use this opportunity to work together to focus on the issues that really matter to you and your family. On Thursday vote William Irwin 1.”
