The third Sparkling Afternoon Tea event is set to take place on Friday 11 November at Canal Court Hotel from 12pm-3pm with proceeds going to Friends of the Cancer Centre.

Hosted by Be Inspired To Be, the friendly afternoon occasion features food, drink, entertainment and even a best-dressed prize to be won.

Former Minister and House of Lords member Baroness Margaret Ritchie will be the Keynote Speaker at the event.

All proceeds received from both ticket sales and the charity ballot will support Friends of the Cancer Centre, a Northern Irish charity focusing on research as well as patient care and comfort.

Belinda O’Neill, founder of Be Inspired To Be, spoke of her joy of being involved in the planning of the event, with the charity aid resonating on a personal level.

She said “I’m delighted to organise this the 3rd Ladies Charity Sparkling Afternoon Tea event for a cause which is very close to my heart.

“An uplifting  afternoon is in store, a glass of bubbles on arrival, a delicious afternoon tea, entertainment by Fiddler Adam, inspiring conversation from Baroness Margaret Ritchie, a best dressed prize sponsored by Sinenna boutique and a wonderful charity ballot with a chance to win some amazing prizes.”

The event is being sponsored and supported by a whole range of fantastic organisations, including Mourne Scan Clinic, Hanna Hillen Financial Services, Omniplex Cinemas and the host Canal Court Hotel.

Ana Wilkinson Head of Fundraising with Friends of the Cancer Centre also expressed her delight at the charity’s involvement.

She said: "At Friends of the Cancer Centre, we are delighted to be involved in the fabulous Sparkling Afternoon Tea.

“As well as being a lovely way for friends and colleagues to get together, it provides an opportunity to share some important cancer awareness messages and raise much needed funds to support the charity's vital work.

“Thanks to everyone who attends, the money raised will be used to support local families impacted by cancer."

Ticket prices are £25 per person with tables of 8, 10 & 12 available and can be purchased via beinspiredtobe.com
