A 17 year old has been hospitalised after an aggravated burglary when a number of men armed with machetes forced their way into a property at Talbot Street in Newry in the early hours of this morning.
Detectives are appealing for witnesses following this morning's incident, Tuesday 05 June.

It's reported that shortly after 2.15am a number of males armed with machetes forced their way into the property and attacked the male occupant. The 17 year old was taken to hospital for treatment for an injury to his nose and large cuts to his arm and leg as a result of the incident.
Detective Chief Inspector Will Tate is appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident or anyone with any information that can assist with the investigation to contact detectives in Ardmore Police Station on 101 quoting reference 236 05/06/18.
