Over 300 women gathered in the Miller Suite of the Canal Court Hotel this week for the 13th Annual Hospice Ladies’ Luncheon.

Guest speaker for the occasion was Miriam O’Callaghan of RTE who was driven to Newry by Taxiline free of charge! Miriam shared details about her childhood and took some very entertaining questions from the ladies in the Miller Suite. Miriam very generously waived her fee in the spirit of the event.

A spokesperson for the Southern Area Hospice commented "We are indebted to the McParland family, proprietors of the Canal Court Hotel and their amazing management and staff who gave their usual 5* service to all in attendance. The food was sumptuous and again, the Canal Court Hotel fully sponsor this event and have done for the past 13 years. We would also like to give a huge thank you to everyone who donated prizes for the raffle on the day!"
