Write a commentSouth Armagh Neighbourhood Policing Team's Mobile Police Station will be visiting Bessbrook this Saturday the 6th of December.
The mobile station will be open to the public from 10am to 2pm.
Constable Mark McGarrity, South Armagh NPT, said: “We have attended a number of meetings with residents and community representatives in Bessbrook who have expressed their concern about antisocial behaviour and we have discussed how best to address this issue.
“Local residents told us that they would like to see us more and we are happy to oblige.
“The mobile police station allows us to spend time in Bessbrook and provides residents with the opportunity to come and speak to us and discuss any concerns or report crime. We hope it will also reassure the community that we are here to address the issues that matter to them and to listen to them.
“Our crime prevention officer will also be available in the mobile station to provide useful advice and guidance on protecting your home and property and we would encourage anyone interested in our Farmwatch initiative to come along and sign up. Newry and Mourne Policing and Community Safety Partnership Manager will have a space in the mobile station and will be promoting and discussing neighbourhood watch schemes and guard cams, which can be used to make your home more secure.
“Everyone is very welcome to come along and see us in the mobile station whether it is for a chat, to get to know your neighbourhood officers or to discuss crime and other issues.”
