Write a commentA Slieve Gullion Area Councillor has written to senior Roads Officers asking them to inspect a stretch of road at Cloughreagh as a matter of urgency.
Cllr Roisin Mulgrew stated "The road running through Cloughreagh and John F Kennedy are in appalling condition. This ongoing issue has frustrated local residents and myself as we have made regular requests to get the road impacted by a patchwork of diggings by various agencies resurfaced. It is a busy stretch of road which I now view as a hazard to motorists and pedestrians alike"
The councillor pointed out that although recent repair work regarding potholes had been completed, this was a temporary solution to a permanent ongoing problem and throwing good money after bad.
Cllr Mulgrew added "Resurfacing is the only answer and I have contacted senior local Infrastructure Officers to request this. I will keep all local residents updated"
