National Trails Day has been set up to encourage people from across Ireland to get outdoors and discover off road trails in their local vicinity.
Newry & Mourne District Council has got involved with this fantastic initiative planned for Sunday 3rd October. National Trails Day is celebrating the wonderful variety of trails available for everyone to enjoy in some of Newry & Mourne’s most beautiful countryside, forests and mountains.
Speaking on the events planned for Newry & Mourne Mayor of Newry & Mourne District Council, Councillor Mick Murphy said “This is a great opportunity to showcase the wonderful countryside we have and provide people with an opportunity to sample some great walking activity”

2: A walk from Leitrim Lodge to Kilbroney Park in Rostrevor, following the Mourne Way,
