Lakeside Fireworks and charity volunteers from Carrickcloghan, Camlough are organising a New Years Eve Charity Fireworks Display in Camlough and have launched a Just Giving page to raise funds for Fight for Alfie, Southern Area Hospice, Brain Injury Foundation and Time 2 Play.
The display will begin at 7pm and parking is available at Shane O'Neill's Carrickcruppen or Safe Fuels.
The group have promised that the more they raise, the higher they will go up Camlough Mountain, and the better the display will be.
They are trying to raise at least £4000 and have already reached nearly half that.
Over the last few years they have helped raise over £25,000 for local charities, helping young Alfie stay on his feet by donating to his medical needs, keeping memories alive of those who have gone before us and making significant donations to local charities including the Hospice, Brain Injury and Air Ambulance.
At this time of the year though they get so much enjoyment out of giving thousands a reason to smile on New Years Eve by creating a magic event in their local village, Camlough.
We will light a firework at 6.59pm in memory of James Reel, and indeed for any loved one that you have lost and wish to remember.
Please donate as little or as much as you want, enjoy the display and happy new year.
