Wednesday 4th July - Morton Stadium, Santry, Dublin
John McCaffrey and Hughie Mackin attended the Dublin County Graded Series Meet in Santry this week.
Both athletes were focused on improving on their 800m race times.
Placed in the same race Hughie and John competed hard against each other. John came over the line in 1st place in a time of 2:16:33. Hughie followed through in 2nd place in 2:17:64.
Thursday 5th July- Louth County Championships, Lourdes Stadium, Drogheda
Joanne McCauley made a solo trip to Drogheda to guest at the Louth Championships
Focused on improving her 400m performance, which is a new distance this season for her, Joanne lifted a 1st in the F40 Category and recorded a PB of 69:89.
Joanne, in the Long Jump took 1st place in the F40 Category with 4.06m and 2nd overall Masters.
Saturday 7th July - Muckno Triathlon, Co. Monaghan
Sarah Jane Beattie competed in the Muckno Triathlon and continued to be consistent in her success at these events. Sarah Jane recorded a new PB by 10 minutes and took 1st place in the F30-40 Age Category.
Saturday 7th July - Rostrevor Parkrun
The Patterson clan were out in fine form on a very warm and ever challenging Kilbroney course.
Young Ethan Patterson continues to impress with a 2nd overall placing in a time of 20:26. Pierce Patterson followed through in 26:52 and Fiona Patterson completed in 31:19.
Saturday 7th July - Armagh Parkrun
In hot and sunny conditions Esther Dickson and Joanne McCauley decided to take on this undulating course as a recovery training session.
Esther took to the hills with her natural ease and cruised round to take pole position in a time of 20:00. A good one minute ahead of the first male runner. Joanne who is now more akin to the fast track sprints came in at 27:30.
