NIFRS is seeking volunteers who are interested in becoming Cadet Leaders. Their Volunteer Cadet Leader roles are flexible and are based at Fire Stations in Newry, Bangor, Belfast and Lisburn.

As a Cadet Leader you will play a positive role in delivering an exciting programme of activities for young people aged between 14-17 years old from all sections of the community. Successful applicants will be involved in first aid, team building, hose running and fire safety. Full training on these will be provided. Volunteer Cadet Leaders will also attend public events alongside our Cadets representing NIFRS.

Cadet Leaders will gain various qualifications and could work towards achieving the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award if they are between the ages of 18 and 24 years old.

Access NI checks will also be completed prior to applicant success. For more information please visit Cadet Leader
