Heaney Funeral Directors in Newry and Web Designer, Dionne McCabe have joined forces to created an innovative way of helping people up and down the island pay their respect for someone who has passed away with their new website, Irish Memory Cards.
Memory Cards are the most popular way throughout the UK and Ireland of remembering a loved one and paying respect to their time on earth, having been used for decades. Now, this new website helps cut out the, at times, arduous and time consuming process of designing, writing and printing these memorial cards. The simplistic online portal helps those who have lost a loved one, design and order their memorial cards online giving more time and space for the families and individuals to grieve and pay their respect.
Dionne McCabe, Designer and entrepreneur behind the website, said: “I, like everyone else, have suffered the loss of a loved one and know what a difficult and confusing a time it can be.
With so much happening around you and so many things to cope with both practically and emotionally this website is aimed at becoming a lifeline to those people who are already struggling without having to deal with the rigmarole of designing, redesigning, ordering and printing memory cards through a 3rd party etc.”
Damien Heaney of Heaney Funeral Director’s, added: “We came up with the idea that it would be much better to give the family the opportunity to design their own card themselves, get exactly what they wanted and do it all in the privacy of their own homes.”
The website provides a wide range of bespoke memorial cards that are editable to meet the needs of each individual family. The unique website also provides some very helpful information on how to deal with bereavement and links to people and organisations who can help cope with the loss.
