Matt McGinn in Newry Town Hall may have been only a couple of weeks ago but without doubt as far as we are concerned it was the gig of 2012.
Billed as Matt with guests, any of the guests could have easily entertained the crowd in their own right for the entire night and his duet with Julliet Turner was completely inspiring.
Singer Songwriter Matt from Hilltown has already massed a large repertoire of his own music and a fan base to match. Earlier this year at the Belfast Nashville Festival Matt shared a stage with Nancy Griffith and spent some time in Nashville and will have his second album out early in the New Year.
The genius of adding the St Colman's School Choir to the bill in the Town Hall made an exceptional concert an unforgettable one.
All the best to Matt in 2013, you can check him out at www.mattmcginnmusic.com
