This mix consists of photographs from the Seventy One Restaurant, run by the Newry and Mourne Co-Operative at 71 Hill Street in the early 80's.
There is a batch of pics from a function in Newry with quite a few council employees so maybe it was a council function?
Lastly a shop photograph with such exorbitant prices as 4 Juicy Beefburgers for 96p, 2 Cornish Pasties at 39p, 2 Chicken and Mushroom pies at 54p. Finally you could have got a Half Lamb for £9.50! Mind you I think I was only getting paid £23.50 a week!
