The British Heart Foundation shop on Hill Street in Newry is appealing to local residents to donate quality preloved bric-a-brac and toys as part of the charity's annual Reuse Revolution campaign. The appeal is aimed at helping fund vital research into cardiovascular disease.
Sara Willis, British Heart Foundation Newry designate manager, said: "Spring is the season for a clear-out, so we're asking people to have a 'spring fling' - bag up what you no longer love or use and donate it to us.
"At the moment we are in need of bric-a-brac and toys however we can also rehome quality clothes and books. Your donations help raise vital funds for the BHF's research."
Ms Willis added: "We rely on the generosity of people in Newry to keep the shop stocked. That vase you no longer use or that top you no longer wear, could help fund the next research breakthrough - and they could be exactly what someone else is looking for."
BHF shops raise millions each year to fund cardiovascular research. Every three minutes someone in the UK loses their life to heart and circulatory disease.
There are two ways to donate. Items can be dropped into the Hill Street shop during opening hours, or donations can be posted for free using a postage label printed online at www.bhf.org.uk/shop.
