Write a commentLocal group The Nooks will be ditching their instruments to put on the lycra on the 4th of May to take to a completely different stage, that of the Belfast City Marathon!
All 5 members of the band will collectively run the 26 mile course as a relay team in a bid to raise funds for their chosen charity 'The Southern Area Hospice' a local charity close to their hearts.
Commenting a band member said “The Southern Area Hospice provides vital care to people living within the Southern Health Board Area, who are suffering from Cancer, Multiple Sclerosis, Motor Neurone Disease and AIDS.
“They rely heavily on voluntary donations to maintain the special care they provide to patients and their families.
“We urge all our supporters to dig deep and help us achieve our fundraising goal.”
