Charlie Smyth's Newry Pantomime version of Snow White raised the extraordinary sum of £12,000 for local charities when it was staged in January.
Cheques were presented to the nine charities at a function in Newry Credit Union.
The sum was raised with the help of the entire cast and backstage crew and presentations were made to the following: Southern Area Hospice, £2000; Irish Childrens' Pilgrimage Trust, £2000; Newry M.S. Society, £2000; Cancer Research, £1000; Macmillan Cancer Support, £1000; St Vincent dePaul, £1000; Salvation Army, £1000; Concern, £1000 and the Newry and Mourne Diabetic Support Group, £1000.
