Irwin’s Bakery Managing Director, Brian Irwin, Technical Assistant, Karen Nixon and Production Operative, Joanne O’Neill welcome PIPS Hope and Support’s CEO, Seamus McCabe to officially launch Irwin’s Bakery Charity Partnership with the suicide prevention charity.

Irwin’s Bakery, based in Portadown has chosen Newry based PIPS Hope and Support as its charity partner for the upcoming year. The suicide prevention and mental health charity provides vital services to those in need.

Irwin’s Bakery, a family-owned business with a long-standing commitment to supporting the local community, selected PIPS Hope and Support for its dedication to tackling the issue of suicide, providing crisis counselling, suicide bereavement support and promoting positive mental health. Through various fundraising initiatives and awareness campaigns, Irwin’s Bakery aims to raise vital funds for PIPS Hope and Support to continue its important work in the community.

PIPS Hope and Support provides a variety of services aimed at assisting individuals in crisis and preventing suicide in the Newry, Mourne and Down, Upper Bann and Southern Health and Social Care Trust areas. These services include crisis counselling, bereavement support groups, and community outreach and education programmes. The charity depends on fundraising and donations to sustain its vital work.

Seamus McCabe, CEO of PIPS Hope and Support spoke of their appreciation at being selected "The support from Irwin’s Bakery will have a profound impact on our charity, enabling us to provide therapy to individuals struggling with suicidal thoughts, high levels of anxiety, poor mental health, or those who have been affected by suicide.
