Police are appealing for information after an 18 year old man was injured in an incident yesterday, 18 September, involving a car and a scrambler, beside Monks Hill Graveyard in Newry. The air ambulance was called out and the injured man was taken to hospital in Belfast.
Police and emergency services attended the scene. Speaking of the incident Inspector Connolly said: "Shortly after 11:35am, it was reported that a scrambler and a silver BMW car were involved in the collision. A 18 year old man, who was believed to have been riding the scrambler, was taken to hospital for treatment to his injuries."
Police are continuing to establish the circumstances surrounding the incident and they are appealingto anyone with information or who may have dash-cam footage available to contact them on 101, quoting reference number 556 18/09/25.
