Police are appealing for witnesses after an attempt was made to steal from an ATM at a forecourt on Upper Dromore Road in Warrenpoint during the early hours of Tuesday 9 December.
Officers received a report around 2am that someone had tried to gain access to the cash machine. While the ATM was damaged during the incident, nothing was taken from it.
Detectives from the Organised Crime Unit are now investigating the attempted theft and are keen to hear from anyone who may have information.
Anyone who witnessed suspicious activity in the Upper Dromore Road area in the early hours of Tuesday morning is asked to come forward. Police are also appealing for anyone who may have captured dash-cam footage from the area that could assist with their enquiries.
Anyone with information is asked to contact detectives at the Organised Crime Unit in Enniskillen on 101, quoting reference number 111 09/12/25.
