Pride In Newry is a week of events culminating in a Pride parade, family fun area, free open-air concert and Pride Ball on the first weekend in September.
The theme of Pride In Newry is “Pride in who you are, and pride in where you come from”. Through Pride In Newry the Newry Rainbow Community is seeking to empower lgb&t people to be more confident, visible and to build relationships and increases mutual understanding between lgb&t people and wider society.
The Pride In Newry parade is a powerful and vibrant spectacle to showcase the diversity of people, communities and cultures in Newry, Mourne and Down District Council area. Pride in Newry celebrates all that's good about Newry City and allows everyone to show that we are indeed a proud people.
If you’re enthusiastic about making a difference and would like to get involved in planning and delivering Pride In Newry 2017 please come along to an Open meeting to form a Pride In Steering Group. It's Wednesday 24th May 2017 at 8:00pm in Rainbow House, Monaghan Street, Newry.
