Slieve Gullion Councillor Áine Quinn has said that resurfacing works have been secured from the Department for Infrastructure for the New Line in Silverbridge, describing it as an important delivery for the local community.

Councillor Quinn said the works had been a priority for her and that she was pleased to see progress being made for residents. "This upgrade will improve safety and road conditions," she said, adding that she commended Infrastructure Minister Liz Kimmins for her commitment to rural infrastructure.

Cllr Quinn acknowledged that the road will be closed for approximately three weeks during the works and asked residents for their patience while the scheme is carried out. She confirmed she would continue engaging with the Department for Infrastructure to ensure the works are completed as quickly as possible.
