Members of Crossgar Ladies Walking Group travelled to Warrenpoint on 28 March to meet with members of Warrenpoint Women's Group as part of a Good Relations initiative aimed at building connections between different communities.
The visit provided an opportunity for the two groups to network, socialise and spend time together, with the women enjoying lunch followed by a scenic walk along the way. The Rowallane District Electoral Area Forum organised gift bags for all attendees as part of the initiative.
The Crossgar group also had the opportunity to meet Colleen Tinnelly, President of Warrenpoint, Burren and Rostrevor Chamber of Commerce, who welcomed the visitors and distributed vouchers encouraging them to explore and support local businesses before heading home.
The event was just one of a number of Good Relations activities aimed at strengthening community spirit and building new friendships across different parts of the district.
