Short Film Competition

If you would like to show your skills as a Short Film maker Newry Film Club is holding it's second Short film competition as part of Newry Film Festival 2013 which takes place from the 13th to the 22nd of September.  

Shorts, which fulfil the criteria below will be eligible for the Short Film Awards.  

The awards are:  

Best Film £200

Best Director £100

Audience award £100.

Short-listed films will be shown at the Newry Film Festival 13th – 22nd September 2013. Closing date for applications is 30th June 2013 and DVD submission must arrive by 31st July 2013.

Short film entries must be Less than 10 minutes long, Made within the last year (since July 2012), Submitted on DVD (suitable for viewing on a DVD player) and clearly labelled with a completed application form.

Entry fee is £15 sterling made payable to Newry Film Club.  Late entries will be accepted up until 31st July with a £20 fee.

If submitting more than one film please complete a separate entry form and fee for each film.

DVD’s submitted cannot be returned.

You should have copyright clearance for all materials within the film otherwise it cannot be shown.

Short-listed applicants will be notified by Friday 30th August and will be requested to submit a high definition mastercopy for final screening.

Short-listed applications grant the NFF the use of images and sound for promotional purposes.
