South Armagh search continues for two men wanted for "range of offences'

Police are appealing for information on the whereabouts of two men James White and Alexis Guesto. The two men are wanted in NI for a range of offences, including breach of licence and warrants. It's believed the two men have travelled from the south and there have been a number of reports of sightings of them in south Armagh/ Newry area.

Detective Chief Inspector Jill Duffie said: “These two men are wanted in Northern Ireland for a range of offences, including breach of licence and warrants. The PSNI are working closely with Garda Siochana in the search.

Following an earlier search operation in the Silverbridge area of South Armagh, in relation to two men wanted by police, Detective Chief Inspector Jill Duffie from PSNI Public Protection Branch said: “We would like to thank the local community for the information they have provided so far that has assisted us in our search for James White and Alexis Guesto.

"We have received a number of positive sightings and officers have gathered evidence which has allowed us to narrow the search area throughout the course of the day. I would like to reassure the community in South Armagh that police are committed to locating these individuals as quickly as we can.”

Speaking yesterday evening Detective Chief Inspector Jill Duffie said “Following a report of concern from a member of the public relating to a blue Peugeot parked in a car park on the Chancellors Road area of Mullaghbawn shortly after 1pm yesterday, Thursday 26 April, the vehicle was seized and the circumstances are being investigated by police.

“Police are also aware of comments on social media regarding this vehicle and are appealing for anyone who observed the car in the local area or anyone who observed the occupant(s) of the car after it was parked to contact police.

I would ask anyone who knows where these two men are, or believes they may have seen them to contact us on 101 quoting reference 395 of 28/04/18. Alternatively, information can also be provided to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 which is 100% anonymous and gives people the power to speak up and stop crime.”
