P.I.P.S. Hope & Support (formally knowing as P.I.P.S Newry & Mourne) are once again holding their ‘Odd Sock Day’, which has become an annual fundraising event with PIPS since 2015.

A spokesperson for the group said "We recognise that the stigma that surrounds Mental Health is one of the barriers to those affected seeking help and therefore P.I.P.S. Hope & Support hope to promote our Odd Sock Day Campaign as one way to help reduce that stigma and promote the message that “It’s Ok to have an Odd Day”.
Schools, businesses and other organisations are being asked to promote this event and ask individuals to participate by wearing Odd Socks on Friday 25th May 2018 or organise a date to suit your schedule and create your own Odd Sock Day.
This event is a great opportunity to make a donation of any amount to support a local Suicide Prevention Charity.
Donations can be made through their office at 50 Mill Street Newry, through their website www.pipsnewryandmourne.org or Just Giving page.
You can also upload pics of your Odd Socks to your social page to further increase awareness of support within the community using the hashtag #pipsoddsockday.
P.I.P.S Hope & Support are available to attend organisations to provide information and support if required. You can contact them at 028 302 66195.
