Welcoming the group MLA Justin McNulty said, "It was an absolute pleasure to be on hand to welcome Jacinta Linden and her team from SPACE to Stormont this afternoon. The group are involved in fantastic work in our community right across Newry, Mourne and Down.
"Today’s event was to celebrate the groups Older Persons’ Project and it was wonderful to hear the different participants in the programme share their stories about life here and the incredibly positive impact the programme is having on their lives.
"SPACE and many other groups in the voluntary sector do amazing work on behalf of the statutory sector. They do so much unseen work and it often goes unnoticed. Today was about recognising and celebrating the great work SPACE does in our community. I was delighted to join them for this celebration and wish them continued success in the time ahead."
