Write a commentHospitality and Management Students from the SRC in Newry are organising what they expect to be Newry's very first Food Festival.
The Festival will take place on Friday the 24th of April from 12pm to 6pm at Newry Variety Market.
The students are completing a Foundation Degree in Hospitality & Tourism Management / Travel & Tourism Management at the Southern Regional College and are holding the event in co-operation with Newry and Mourne District Council with the aim of advertising the food produce of the Newry area by involving local food producers and local restaurants.
They also plan to have live entertainment as well as craft shops and demonstrations.
If you are a producer or a local restauranteur who would like to get involved you can download an expression of interest form below and return it to Lecturer Tanya McAleenan by next Friday the 20th of March.
