A public speaking event for women and girls is coming to Newry next week, with a free masterclass to help participants develop their presentation style and confidence.
TEDxStormontWomen have partnered with the Newry Next Chapter group, a project that targets women to develop ideas and build communities across Northern Ireland, to host a free masterclass on Wednesday 6 November in the Canal Court Hotel delivered by former broadcaster SarahTravers and public speaking expert Camilla Long.

The fun, interactive session will help participants to better understand the body language of influence, how to develop a persuasive presentation style that is uniquely theirs and to think about how the structure of their message impacts on what others hear.
The TEDxStormontWomen Masterclass programme is a partnership between the Centre for Democracy and Peace Building and Bespoke Communications.
It's a cross-community, intergenerational, capacity building initiative with the main aim of making girls and women more confident in public speaking.
Around 500 women and girls are set to take part in the event, one of the most ambitious public speaking programmes in Northern Ireland in conjunction with TEDxStormontWomen. The initiative is taking place throughout the country during October and November culminating in the TEDxStormontWomen event in Parliament Buildings, Stormont on 12 December.
For more information please contact Newry Next Chapter by email nextchapternewry@gmail.com and book your place at Canal Court Hotel, 6th November from 9.30am to 1pm.
