The new Tesco Extra store in Newry finally opened this morning at 8am.
Despite the early hour around 30 people waited to be the first to get in to the new Belfast Road store.
First in the queue were Newry High School pupils Matthew O'Brien and Jordan Poucher who had waited patiently since 6am to get in to the store.

Apart from Armagh Newry was the only city in the Province until now to have been a Tesco free zone but all that changed after the store which has been years in the planning finally opened it's doors today.
The 63,000 sq Foot store has over 600 free parking spaces and is managed by Stephen Magill who says the store will have major benefits for the city.
